If you like the notepad that Windows operating systems have by default but would prefer to be able to perform more complex actions, with Metapad you can do it.

This program is their main alternative. And it's no wonder, first and foremost, its comfortable and intuitive interface, which makes any task you do much easier. On the other hand, being able to search and replace any text quickly is welcome in an application of this kind. The keyboard shortcuts have been changed to more functional ones, as well as the new design.

Even though you have more options than the classic notebook blog, the consumption of resources is practically identical, i.e., zero. Although it does not have syntax coloring, Metapad is an excellent choice for managing any type of text with just a few clicks.
